Playing With Oobleck

In the Walnut Room, children had the opportunity of making oobleck. The children helped measure the 3 cups of corn starch, 2 cups of water, and added a couple dropped of green coloring. Once the oobleck was made, it was poured into 4 different trays. Once it was made, the children began to play with the oobleck.

The children were talking about how the oobleck felt to them. Sage said that it was cool and gooey. Daley mentioned that it reminded her of glue. Michael also mentioned that it was soft. The children compared the oobleck to slime. They also explained how the oobleck was hard and squishy. Another child mentioned that it was melting in his hand.
