POD A Cooking

All this week the children have been learning about knife safety during cooking appointments. The children learned the difference between a sharp knife and a dull knife, how to carry a knife when walking and how to hold what they are cutting so not to cut their fingers.

 After going over knife safety the children learned the steps of making apple sauce, first they cut apples, they then added lemon juice and cinnamon, then they got to dump the cut apples into a pot that would later be heated and the last step was at snack where they were able to eat what they made.
