Picture Day in Pod A

One of the HDF402 teachers read books to the children
while we were inside.
Today was picture day, and everyone came in looking good! The children seemed excited to be in school, and couldn't wait for their pictures to be taken. Many of the children came back into the room afterwards and would exclaim, "I got my picture taken!". It was something of a celebration all morning.

Aidan and Ainsley worked on their collage projects in
the Oak room. They were laughing and having
a grand old time.

The Oak room closed down the painting easels and finger paints to keep the clothes clean, and instead children worked on small projects around the room. Children worked on self portraits, made collages from wooden materials, read books, sorted colored dinosaurs.

In the Walnut room, children investigated the rainy day by looking out of the window with binoculars. They worked on puzzles and played with play dough. It was a busy day!

Because of the rain, we were inside most of the day. We did manage to go out before lunch. Everyone pulled on their rain gear and explored the wet playground. The children really seemed to enjoy the rain as it came down. Hopefully we can get a few more sunny days before the fun craziness of rainy days returns for the Fall.

Have a great day!
