Hello Pod B families!
Today was the first day of November in Pod B and the children welcomed it with loads of sunshine. It was busy day inside and outside, as well!
Taking care of stuffed animals was very popular in the pretend center today. The children cared for and nurtured the sick animals by wrapping them up with bandages, listening to their hearts, looking in their eyes and ears, and even giving them shots. The children are learning how meet others needs through play and pretend.
The discovery center was also very popular. The children really enjoyed playing with the different types of magnets that are available to them. They are discovering that some magnets attract and some repel each other.
In the outdoor learning environment the children seemed to really enjoy the beautiful fall day. The children spent a lot of time playing and working together, running around, and digging in the sandbox with shovels and the dump trucks. A lot of children also showed interest in harvesting some flowers and their seeds, which can be planted and used again.
We hope that this wonderful keeps up for Pod B and the rest of the CDLL!
~Ms. Fischer
