POD A: Playing With Worms

Today the children came into the classroom to find that there were a couple of new things to do since last week. At the discovery area the dry sensory table was changed from bird seed to dirt with "worms" in it.
Here Carson, Devin, and Colton are working together to find worms in the dirt and use tweezers to pick them up and put them into jars:

Children also found at the wet sensory table that they could wash babies with washcloths and soap. At the light table children can use sponges and different shaped brushes to move paint around the table. They also have been enjoying the sketching in the at center. They have been able to sketch gourds and pumpkins, but this week they have the opportunity to add water colors to their sketches!
Looking forward to another great day!
