Pod B: You've Got Mail!


The children in Pod B have been expressing a growing interest in sending each other messages in the mailboxes so this week we added envelopes to the writing center. They really enjoyed writing to each other today then placing the letter or drawing in an envelope and into the other persons mailbox. We even had a few who made their own envelopes with paper and staples.

Levi made something for his Mom and Dad and put it inside his handmade envelope.

Katelin showed me the process of sending mail. She told me that first we write a letter then we put it in the envelope and lick it to close it. Then we can send it to who we want to send it to.

Children begin to develop writing skills to communicate and express themselves effectively and use a variety of forms of early writing.
