Today Pod B went on a field trip to CMU's Museum of Cultural and National History where they experienced the mastodon exhibit. The children were given a tour where they learned about mastodons such as how long ago they lived, how they were hunted, and how big they were. They were even able to see mastodon bones. After the tour, the children participated in mastodon related activities including; coloring a mastodon, pin the tusk on the mastodon, and mastodon tusk ring toss.
