How do children incorporate tires in their play?

Thursday, October 1st, 2015
Today in the Maple Room Stephen, Brennen and Grant played with the tires. The children spent a long time discovering what they could do with the tires. Each child used the tires in different ways.

Stephen choose to roll the tire across the top of the table. He explored the tire's motion by rolling the tire at different speeds.
"I am doing slow motion!" -Stephen

Brennen and Grant decided to use the tires to build with. They worked together to build a tower out of the tires. After completing the tower Grant brought over the cars. Grant placed the cars around the top of the tires and pushed them into the tire tower.
"Brennen, Watch!" -Grant

After playing with Grant, Brennen continued to use tires in his play.
"It's a hat" -Brennen
