It was another fun day here at the Child Development Learning Laboratory!
A group of acapella singers named Central Harmony came to perform for us today. They used the stage in the Oak room. They played three different sets including some familiar Disney songs.
The children were very excited to hear the songs and listened intently.
The Oak room continued to stay busy throughout the morning. The children made play-dough from scratch. They used recipe cards that had pictures of the ingredients and measuring utensils that were needed. Each of the children took turns stirring the play-dough.
The Oak room also had a table where the children were making bird feeders. They rolled pine cones in shortening followed by bird seed to make the feeder.
Some of the children found worms while playing outside. They noticed that the worms were hiding under some logs. One of the children said that the worms were there from the rain over the weekend.
