Special Guest

Today Michael's grandpa came to speak to the school about their Native American culture. He taught us different things like how to do dance from their culture and how to say hello and see you later in their language. He talked about the type of clothes they wear when they dance and the dance stick that they use. Michael's grandpa explained that they grow their hair out to show their good spirits. He also showed us his chest plate which is made from beads now, but years ago were made from bones.

Our chest plate and our bracelet gives us protection.

Above is a video of the children learning how to do a dance in the Native American culture.
