Tuesday, June 21, 2016

This morning we went outside during morning centers. The children had so much fun doing all different sorts of activities. Tommy kept showing the teacher how high and far he could jump over the swing. Ashtin, Makayla and Hunter asked the teacher to watch how high they could climb on the rope. The children kept asking Ms. Bushey and Ms. Lewis to blow bubbles so they could chase and pop the bubbles. It was a very active and fun morning outside.

In the Oak room some of the teachers and students had a "dance party" they dressed up and danced to music with scarves and egg shakers! This gave the students to explore new dances and open up and share their end of the school year excitement.

Game Time!!!

Thursday Thursday Thursday!!!

June 16th, 2016

The board game tables have become an interest to some of the children at the lab. The kids have been making up their own rules to how the games should be played. The typical board games have specific rules while the board game tables at the lab don't have any rules to follow. They have the chance to use their imagination and make decisions of their own.

Everyday we see children lining up to buy some ice cream. They get to choose four different flavors of ice cream. The children go above and beyond with their imaginations when at the ice cream shop. A lot of the children seem to love it.

They began by listening to the story underneath the Maple tree in the shade. Once the story was finished they sat down on blankets and had lunch together, especially enjoying the dirt cups the children had made the day before.
