Waiting For Our Beans to Sprout!

Earlier this week we read the book, "One Bean" written by Anne Rockwell in Mrs. Potters small group. After seeing such curiosity in growing bean plants, today we decided to explore with the beans. First, we folded the paper towel in half then we placed the beans in our towel. After, we needed to spray water on our towels to keep the beans moist enough to sprout before planting them. When I asked what we need to do to help the beans grow Destiny said, "first they're going to grow"...Olivia K. added, "and then they will become baby plants" and Jamie said, "then they will grow tall and up those thingy's outside".
Max was very careful pulling apart his paper towel because it was "stuck together and needs to get wet"
"They're not growing...they need water", Dominic noticed after seeing a dry paper towel and not change in his bean.
After giving water to our beans, we took photographs to reflect on the growth of our beans after they get sprout. William was focusing hard on making sure that his beans get in the picture and that we can clearly see it.

Each student was paired up to share a tray with another, Isabell was spraying the bean she said, " it needs water to grow bigger" while Sarah patiently waited for her turn to spray.

We can't wait to see them sprout soon!
