Giving Back Through Cards

Today a group of children in small group took on the task of creating Thank You cards for individuals who help give back to the elderly of the Mount Pleasant Community. College students from the CEHS program of Central Michigan University gathered with us today to make this possible. Giving each child card stock and coloring utensils with an open ended description of "thank you" cards, each child created 1-2 cards to be used for those giving back to our community. The children used their imagination and created their view of thank you cards through different sketches and colorings. The CEHS visitors helped the children with writing out what they drew in their cards as well. This was a very great experience for the children of the CDLL to take part in community service at such a young age.
