Today was our first day back from our long winter break. We were so excited to see each other, and return to our school. We also were introduced to many new faces, including our new teachers! Throughout the day children helped welcome their new teachers, and show them the ropes throughout the CDLL. As the day moved on, we quickly remembered our routine and got back into the swing of things. Children also got to explore winter both inside and out! In the Walnut room children got to experience snow in a new way. After snow was brought in from outside children put on some gloves and dug right in! As they sifted through the snow, the children began to note what was happening to their gloves and the floor around them. Tony stated, "The floor is all wet from the snow, it melted!" Violet also noted, "My hands are all wet!" This chilly new addition attracted many and allowed us to see what happens to snow when we bring it inside. As day one of our journey ends, we look forward to the road ahead and thrilled for all the experiences to come!
Have a wonderful night!
