Today was an exciting day! Instead of our usual routine, we had a field trip to the Museum of Natural and Cultural History here on campus. The children either went in the morning or in the afternoon. Although it was a long walk, the children were excited to learn about some features of the Rainforest. We started off all together as a whole group and the children talked about what they knew about the rainforest. We even got to act as the Rainforest by putting our arms up and looked at the different levels.
"It rains!"-Ne'Siah
"Beetles!"-Julian
After that we split off into three group to explore the three parts of the tour.
Above, the children explored the Jungle habitat.
Then, we had a presentation on the life cycle of the Blue Morpho Butterfly!
The children also got to meet the museum's tarantula, Pepper!
It was nice to switch up the routine today and do something different. Have a great night and hope to see everyone back at school tomorrow!
