The construction project group has been very busy brainstorming ideas related to construction that interest the children. The children in the group seem to be fascinated with buildings, like skyscrapers, and other various building structures. Today, the group had the opportunity to experiment with concrete mix and water.
The children were able to mix the concrete mix in a dixie cup with the amount of water that they thought was appropriate. From there, each child could decide if they needed to add more concrete mix or water to make the best texture for their concrete to harden.
Tomorrow the children will have the chance to cut the dixie cups open to reveal their concrete blocks, hoping their experiment worked in their favor! The children will then be able to use their concrete blocks to build structures.
Enjoy the rest of your week!
