Our Special Lunch

Today at the CDLL the children were able to bring a special person(s) to lunch today. Their special  guests were also invited to join us outside and for small group.

They were also able to see their children in action during lunch. The children demonstrated their abilities to pass food to one another, serve themselves, and clean up their area once they were done. It was such an exciting day in the CDLL!

Flubber Fun!

November 3, 2015

Today in the Walnut room the children explored with Flubber.
It is made out of a few ingredients including borax and water.
The children were able to manipulate the Flubber because it was easy to shape.
Some children rolled it into a ball while others let the Flubber slip out of their hands.
The children seemed a bit shocked at the texture but it was quite interesting to watch them work with it!

Marble Painting!

Today in the Oak room the children had the opportunity to marble paint. The children used the cups of painted marbles to put them on their paper. Once the marbles were on the paper, the children used the container to roll the ball around on the paper in the containers. Pelumi said while painting"it's like a hula hoop swaying side to side!" Trevor said "I am making this for Carter P.! I'm rolling the balls!" The marble painting was a big hit!

"I'm writing my name!"- Anaya

Kayden used every marble from the paint tub. Once all of the marbles were in the container, he rolled all of the marbles around. The paper ended up looking like stained glass!

"I'm rolling them!"- Grant

Sarah enjoyed working with the red paint.

James was focused on using orange and green.
